Intoductions

I would like to intoduce myself, I am Chuck and I'm a triathlete and I'm a "Clydesdale". Man, I feel like I'm at an AA meeting. For those who don't know, a "Clydesdale" in endurace sport circles is an althete that is over 200lbs. I have recently moved from Denver, CO to southwest Wyoming. There are a few good things about living at in Wyoming:

1. Living at 7000ft really has some advantages, as far as training and racing
2. I am a lot closer to ski resorts (Park City, UT) than in Denver
3. Lots of snow make is easier to cross country (skate) ski here in town
4. Small, nice, steady group of riders/racers
5. FAMILY

There are several not so good things about living/racing in Wyoming:

1. See #1 above
2. Hills, lots of hills, and I AM NO CLIMBER (although gravity is good to me on the downhill side)
3. Some people look at me funny when I am in my riding tights at 7-11, but the guy in the chaps, dirty boots and hat
doesn't look out of place (wierd, but I'll get used to it)
4. I have to race down in Utah because there isn't a whole lot of races to choose from in WY. Let's just say, racing in Utah ISN'T the same
racing in Colorado.
5. No Multisport club and/or Masters swimming, but I am making due

I have been reading triathlon base logs from several years now and I have decided to buckle down and start one of my own. I will try and "keep it real" as far as my training and insight and not too much non-sense. If you have any ideas or opinons, speak up. I will keep the page updated as much as possible with my training log, race reports and maybe even the ski report. Thanks, -c
